The Oil Cooler Adapter is designed to replace the factory oil cooler on a type 4 engine. The main reason that I designed this item was to make sure that I got full oil flow to the external cooler.  An additional advantage is that by removing the factory cooler from the block,  your engine will run cooler because it is not having to act as a "heat sink" to the oil cooler.  The Oil Cooler Adapter  is machined to use the factory oil seals and comes with either a -8 or -10 fittings.
